tech in Hawaii. Its core initiatives are:
- To develop and manage a statewide network of incubation
services and facilities that provide new technology
businesses with access to business development
services, strategic partnerships, networking and
marketing opportunities,
shared support services, and business mentoring.
- To expand existing business development services
for new start-ups, as well as existing businesses
in the
technology sector. Services include nationally-acclaimed
programs such as FastTrac Entrepreneurship Training
and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program.
- To secure and administer federal and private grants
and contracts in support of technology research
and to provide technical assistance to small technology
businesses so they can successfully compete for
these
funds and contracts.
- To support skilled workforce development for the
technology sector through outreach programs, partnerships,
and
web-based communications activities.
