Fuel Cell Powered Light Cart
Fuel cell powered NF-2D floodlight set (light cart) featuring a metal hydride based hydrogen storage system.
- Original hydride storage system design by K. Lee, SRNL, adapted and improved by R. Bowman, JPL.
- Project initiated early 2007 as a proof of concept for an application based on AB5 metal hydride technology.
- Metal hydrides act as “hydrogen sponges” and reversibly absorb large amounts of hydrogen.
