of California at Berkeley. He is licensed to practice law in Hawaii, California,
and Missouri. He is in solo practice specializing in labor and employment law

President of the Hawaii Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association

Ted H. S. Hong, Esq.
Ted provides business owners and employees, throughout the State of Hawaii,

is an experienced litigator with real world experience as lead counsel in
more than twenty (20) jury trials in State and Federal Court. Ted has been
lead counsel in over twenty (20) arbitrations and mediations. He has argued
appeals before the appellate courts of the State of Hawaii, as well as the
Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ted was recognized as the “Best Lawyer,” Kama’aina

Ted recently served in Governor Lingle’s administration as the
Chief Negotiator for the State of Hawaii, responsible for coordinating
and negotiating all collective bargaining agreements with the public
sector employee unions. Ted has been an invited speaker to several employment
law seminars dealing with Violence in the Workplace issues. He was an
invited speaker at the University of Hawaii at Hilo’s “Start
Up: The Hawaii Entrepreneurs Bootcamp” held on November 8, 2002
to discuss Employment Law issues. On November 13, 2002, Ted was one
of the featured speakers at the “Supervisor’s and Management’s
Challenge with Discipline and Termination,” which was sponsored
by the County of Hawaii.
