Erik Kvam
The Law Office of Erik Kvam
Erik Kvam is an intellectual property attorney, registered to practice patent law before the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Mr. Kvam has more than 15 years of experience in the protection of intellectual property rights through licensing and sale of such rights and, when necessary, the enforcement of such rights through litigation and/or alternate dispute resolution. His fields of technological expertise include materials science, chemistry, the physical sciences and engineering generally. Mr. Kvam, who has an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University, has successfully piloted, to closing, several multimillion-dollar tax-leveraged technology-related investment transactions. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Hawaii, California and New York. Mr. Kvam is a Director of the Intellectual Property and technology Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association and a member of the Hawaii Academy of Sciences.

Darryl M. Taira, AAL, ALC
Darryl M. Taira is an attorney and accountant with over 20 years legal experience in business, tax, real estate and estate planning. Prior to becoming an attorney, he had practiced in two international accounting firms in audit and tax services. He represents start-up businesses as well as large multinational corporations, from areas of choice of entity, formation, employment, licenses, contracts, and business planning to corporate succession planning and ultimate sale. He also has assisted in the formation of high technology businesses and in completing and filing their applications to obtain certain State of Hawaii tax credits under Act 221. He is a frequent lecturer to various professional trade groups and other organization on all aspects of business, tax, real estate and estate planning.

Russell R. Yamada, Attorney at Law, A Law Corporation - Russell R. Yamada

Russell R. Yamada is an attorney and a certified public accountant with over 25 years of experience in corporate, partnership and individual, estate and tax planning, business start-ups and Section 1031 real property exchanges.  Russell has conducted numerous small business seminars on small business tax planning and new business formations.  He has been a part-time instructor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  He is an Advisory Board Member with the Samoan Service Providers Association (SSPA) and is a regular guest speaker on accounting and tax matters as part of SSPA's entrepreneurial training program.  Russell is a member of the Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants (HSCPA) and the Hawaii Association of Public Accountants (HAPA).
