From Hilo International Airport:

  • Exiting Hilo International Airport, take a right at the intersection stoplight onto Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11).
  • Turn left onto Kamehameha Avenue.
  • Continue along Kamehameha Avenue as it bears to the left away from Bayfront Highway (Route 19).
  • Turn left onto Kalakaua Street, just after the Kress building.
  • HICH is on the corner of Kalakaua and Keawe Streets, with the parking lot entrance on the right, just before the building on Kalakaua.

Approximate travel time: 15 minutes.
