In partnership with Coursera, HTDC and the TRUE Initiative have launched the Workforce Recovery Initiative, which gives kama’aina free access to the Coursera platform. Coursera, an online learning platform, offers more than 3,000 courses from top universities and organizations.

The goal of the Coursera Workforce Recovery Initiative is to offer educational resources to Hawaii’s workforce, especially unemployed workers, so they can reposition themselves for a new opportunity in the tech industry or upskill to take on more advanced tech projects.

If you’re interested in participating, please apply here. If accepted, you’ll have access to 3,800 courses and 400 specializations for free through December 31, 2020. You’ll receive a certificate for each completed course.

If sorting through thousands of courses sounds daunting, don’t worry! You can start with courses selected for specific tech roles here. And, if you’re interested in learning more about specific jobs in tech, consider checking out the Women in Tech series featuring technologists in technical and tech-adjacent roles.
