Brittany and Nick Heyd will be putting on a workshop on lean startup principles and practices. The lean startup methodology is a set of principles that can be applied to both new and existing businesses that prioritizes validated learning. Validated learning, in short, is centered on running small tests and measuring success or failure based on real customer data and quickly iterating on learnings. These principles can help you launch a new product, new business or new revenue stream with minimal wasted resources.
In this workshop we will go over:

This event will start at 5:30pm with a 30 minute presentation on Lean Startup principles followed by a 30 minute Q&A.

About Brittany & Nick:
As a leader in the high-growth tech startup world for the past several years, Nick was a founding member and head of sales and marketing of Galley, a Washington, DC-based meal delivery app, where he led the company’s growth, driving all sales, marketing and business development efforts. Before Galley, Nick held several positions at LivingSocial, a global daily deal company that raised $1 billion and was one of the fastest growing companies in history.Brittany is part of the founding team of 1776 and now holds the position of General Counsel. Brittany was a critical part of taking the organization from inception of idea to initial execution to scaling into the global brand it is today. As Managing Director, she set direction for the company's main operational components and worked directly with over 1,000 startups around the world. Brittany also held positions at the Obama White House during 2010 and 2011 working on entrepreneurship and business community initiatives.
