SBIR Basics: Intellectual Property Workshop

Event Details

Join the UH Office of Innovation and Commercialization (OIC) + Hawaii Technology Development Corporation (HTDC) to learn how the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs can help fund your technology!

Your Intellectual Property (IP) is an integral part of your go-to market strategy. This includes not only your novel technology or invention, but also your company's brand identity and any documentation you generate. Understanding the differences and the functions of patents, trademarks and copyrights is key to begin formulating this strategy, and can save time, money and resources! This applies to gauging interest in your technology as well. Just as crucial as it is to identify demand for your project, it is equally important to make sure that your research product and program fit within the SBIR/STTR framework. Learn all this and more in Part 3 of our 3-part workshop series hosted by the Office of Innovation and Commercialization (OIC) at the University of Hawaii.
